Does this sound weird?

A different view.
(Pinhole photo of New York - 2007)

I have a feeling this may sound a little cranky, I hope not, but I am aware that it might.

Readers of this blog may have noticed that I have mentioned Hypnotherapy a few times, and I have said how I found it very useful in dealing with anxiety, stress and fear.

I thought I might try and make a difference in other people's lives rather than just describing my own journey.

OK - so here's the odd bit:

I have enrolled on a course to become a qualified Hypnotherapist. The course will start in September.

Can you see me in that role? Time will tell.

I've also done another thing which is to set up a "Just Giving" page which you can access by clicking at the link above and to the right. Any money given will go straight into the coffers of Chron's And Colitis UK. A charity to help people with Chron's and Colitis.

It would be great if you could have a look.

Right - I won't mention it again

I remain

  1. What's odd about it is - nothing, absolutely nothing at all. If it worked for you, maybe you can make it work for others.Good on yer. Anything that helps people deal with anxiety, stress and fear sounds valuable to me. Me, I use mindfulness. Of which, more later, at a blog near you.

Kepp us posted on progress, please.

  3. Doesn't sound cranky to me. I think it is rather noble to try and help people in a way that has helped yourself. I like the photo too! And thanks for the note on my blog, I am fine...just a bit preoccupied lately. Haven't done much exercising yet, but I hope to soon.

  4. I'd be interested in reading more about hypnotherapy. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it proved effective in dealing with anxiety. Good luck with the courses.

  5. I think that's brilliant...you go for it...I really do believe that if I can control my mind, then I can control this bloody disease...now if I could just get my mind to agree and stop freakign me out with silly little issues I'd be sorted :D

  6. Thank you all,

    I will keep you posted.

Going camping tomorrow. For the first time in years without trepidation at the prospect of hurried journeys trough an assault course of guy ropes and bikes to the dreadful toilet block.

Woo Hoo! (Is that song number 2? - I can never remember)
